EGG BULL'S-EYE - with an Indian twist
Bull's-eye was always boring for me. I didn't like it when I was a kid. I was forced to have it as breakfast , every Sunday with toasted bread. I came across this recipe in Facebook. This recipe makes the egg bull's-eye quite interesting.
Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp finely chopped onions
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped tomato
- 1 green chili , seeds removed and chopped finely
- 3 tsp oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp water
- 1 slice of bread
- a tsp of garlic butter or ordinary butter(optional)
- 2 pinches of garam masala
- salt to taste
Method
- Heat an 8 inch non-sticky pan on medium high heat. When warm pour 2 tsp oil. When the oil is hot add the 4 Tbsp chopped onions and sauté for 2 minutes.
MAKING THE EGG BULL'S-EYE
- The same pan in which the onion masala was made can be used or if a lot of masala has stuck at the bottom , use another 8 inch pan.
- Cover with a lid reduce the heat to medium and cook for exactly 1 minute.
NOTES
- If the kids don't like the onion tomato masala , add grated cheese on top of the toasted bread and top it with the egg bull's-eye.
