WOVEN WHEEL ROSE

 

A good way to practise woven wheel rose,lazy daisy stitch, and french knots .

MATERIALS REQUIRED

1. Denim Cloth 
2. Embroidery thread
3. 8 inch embroidery hoop
4. needle that can thread all 6 strands

METHOD

• I found this design on Pinterest.I learnt the woven wheel stitch here.
•  One challenge was to draw a 5 spoke wheel with exactly 55 degrees . So I cut out a 55 degree triangle on thick cardboard-like material. I used a coin to draw the wheel and the triangle to draw the spikes.

After all the woven wheel are done . Fill in the lazy daisy stitch and fill in french knots in the center of the lazy daisy flowers and the woven wheel roses.

• Secure the back of the hoop as shown here. The hoop is ready to go on your hoop art wall.
