'Nna Thaan Case Kodu' - Movie Review

 "Sue Me" - A Malayalam movie. Streaming on Hulu. So far watched it 4 times 😁. This movie is a pleasant journey of a common man and having spent about 4 years of my life in this area (Kasargod), I can easily identify with the language used and the simplicity of the folks. Coming to the specifics... 

The magistrate - It’s not every day a newcomer can make a viewer laugh with his looks alone. The guy does it with such aplomb. 

Shukoor Vakil  - “shut up” is a class act. 

Krishnan Vakil - Cool and easy-going guy. 

Gangadharan Vakil - the way he used the language to show his emotions, so cool!

Constable Rakesh - We should have more policemen like him.

Autokaran(Suresh) - 🤣. He speaks very little. But whatever he speaks, it’s a “malapadakkam” of laughter. And he makes us laugh even when he doesn’t talk. "Ennake Kodathiyil Varaan Coat onnum Illa !", what a dialogue!

Teacher - the best partner the autokaran could get.

Even the pet dogs have interesting names: Kingini & Paingili

I know that I haven’t mentioned about the main actor Kunchacko Boban yet. He has been simply superb. When his jaws drop every time, he is spoken to, in English in the court and the instant change in expression, a sigh of relief when its translated to Malyalam, needs a round of applause. But I must say that it’s the supporting cast of this movie that elevates this movie to a magical level. A must watch movie for everyone and one that leaves a lasting impression of the way comedy can be communicated to the viewer. 

Hats off to the director.

I wonder... where does the director get all these actors from, who are new, yet they pull it off as if they are pros. So natural, feels like they were just going about their usual chores.
